ABOUT THE PROJECT


An intimate, behind-the-scenes documentary following Tatianna Bernard on her journey as she creates her own Angelight short film while undergoing treatment for a medulloblastoma brain tumor.

TATIANNA


Tatianna is an 8 year-old girl whose favorite color is purplish pink, loves the rapper A-Boogie, shares a room with 2 of her 3 sisters, and is currently undergoing treatment for a medulloblastoma brain tumor. She lives with her mother and 3 sisters in Brooklyn, NY.

Amir Arison & Stephanie Angel

Amir Arison

Director/Producer


Best known for his role as Agent Aram Mojtabai in NBC’s hit show “The Blacklist”, Amir invests significant time with programs involving Arts Access and Education during his time off set.  He has taught at Broadway for All, Broadway Workshop, Urban Arts Partnership, and YoungArts and has performed & directed to raise money/awareness for a number of other organizations he is passionate about.

With an acting career that spans over 20 years, Amir has also directed numerous projects in NY & LA for stage and screen, most recently producing/directing the award winning short film “Fortress”.

*Amir is the 2018 recipient of The Mendez Award from the Maryland International Film Festival awarded each year to an individual who has used their platform in the entertainment industry to give back to the community.*

Stephanie Angel

Producer


Stephanie is the founder of Angelight Films, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit production company that will be producing Tatianna’s short film. Since 2009, Angelight has offered children with brain and spinal cord tumors the opportunity to shine by creating and starring in their own short film. The organization was formed in honor of Stephanie’s younger sister, Ilana, who died of a brain tumor at the tender age of five. 

Stephanie is an accomplished filmmaker, with more than fifteen years experience on mainstream feature films, television series, documentaries and commercials.
